Heaven is a place on Earth
There is no heartbeat. The words that no expectant mother or father want to hear. Yet this same phrase was told to us three years ago. Those four words carry more hurt, anger, and trauma than anyone could know unless you have been through it yourself. Today is my baby's birthday. Not either of my two children here with me, but my baby in heaven. A day I will never forget and always carry with me. I don't think it's a coincidence that my current bible reading comes from Psalm 139 - "For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." "My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together." "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." These passages have crept their way back in my heart several times throughout my life.
